Charcoal-stained ash paired with woven Horween leather, hand-stained a deep green and built in the Fernweh Woodworking studio in Bend, Oregon, one of a handful of silhouettes ANDREA GOLDMAN designed with the studio whose craftsmanship the firm has long admired. The leather is oil-and-wax tanned, so it softens and deepens the longer it lives with you, taking on the patina of the space. The moodier wood frame brings a layer of depth, while grounding its position in a room.

Design Cue: Make a statement by placing the bench against a pale wall or on light wood floors, where the charcoal can hold its own.

Handmade: Made by hand, so no two are exactly alike. Small variations in size, color, and finish aren't flaws but rather the natural character that makes each object unique and special.
